Let the praise lead! - துதி முன்செல்லட்டும்!

"யூதா எழுந்து புறப்படக்கடவன்; இதோ, அந்த தேசத்தை அவன் கையிலே ஒப்புக் கொடுத்தேன் என்றார்" (நியாயா. 1:2).

கர்த்தருக்குச் சித்தமானால், இந்த மாதம் முழுவதும், ஜெபத்தைக் குறித்த ஆழமான கருத்துக்களையும், அனுபவங்களையும் தியானிக்கப்போகிறோம். "எப்படி ஜெபத்தை ஆரம்பிப்பது? எப்படி ஆவிக்குரிய யுத்தம் செய்வது?"

"யோசுவா மரித்த பின்பு, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: கானானியரை எதிர்த்து யுத்தம் பண்ணும்படி, எங்களில் யார் முதல்முதல் எழுந்து, புறப்பட வேண்டும் என்றார்கள். அதற்கு கர்த்தர், யூதா எழுந்து புறப்படக்கடவன். இதோ, அந்த தேசத்தை அவன் கையிலே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன் என்றார்" (நியா. 1:1,2).

நீங்கள் ஜெபம்பண்ண ஆரம்பிக்கும்போது, முதலாவது யூதாவாகிய "துதி" முன்னே செல்லட்டும். கர்த்தரைப் புகழ்ந்து, போற்றுதல் முதலாவது இருக்கட்டும். கர்த்தர்தான், உங்களை சிருஷ்டித்தவர். அவர்தான் நீங்கள் பூமியிலே வாழ நல்ல சந்தர்ப்பத்தைத் தந்தருளினவர். நீங்கள் அவரை தேடாத வேளையிலும், கர்த்தர்தான் முதலாவது உங்களைத் தேடி வந்தவர். அவர், தன்னுடைய சொந்தக் குமாரனென்றும் பாராமல், அவரை உங்களுக்காகத் தந்தருளினவர்.

"துதித்தல்" என்பதற்கு, சந்தோஷமாய் புகழ்வது, மகிழ்ச்சியோடு பாராட்டுவது, நன்மையானவைகளை பேசுவது, உயர்வாக மதித்து மேன்மைப்படுத்துவது என்பது அர்த்தமாகும். துதியும், ஆராதனையும் ஒன்றோடொன்று இணைந்தவை. ஜெபத்தை முதலில், கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்கிற துதியோடுகூட ஆரம்பியுங்கள். தாவீது ராஜா சொல்லு கிறார், "துதித்தலுடனே அவர் சந்நிதிக்கு முன்பாக வந்து, சங்கீதங்களால் அவரை ஆர்ப்பரித்துப் பாடக்கடவோம்" (சங். 95:2). "மகிழ்ச்சியோடே கர்த்தருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்து, ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடே, அவர் சந்நிதிமுன் வாருங்கள்" (சங். 100:2).

உங்களுக்கு, நான்கு பெண் பிள்ளைகளிருக்கிறார்கள் என்று வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். முதல் மகள் வீட்டுக்குப் போனவுடனே, அந்தப் பெண், அப்பா எனக்கு திருமணத்தில் போதுமான பொருட்கள் கிடைக்கவில்லை என்று, பஞ்சப்பாட்டு பாடுகிறாள். அடுத்த மகள், "அப்பா, நீங்கள் பாகப்பிரிவினை செய்தது அநியாயம். ஓரவஞ்சனை" என்று, பொரிந்து தள்ளுகிறாள். அடுத்த மகள், தன்னுடைய வியாதி, பெலவீனங்களைக் குறித்து சொல்லுகிறாள். ஆனால் ஒரு மகளோ, அன்புடன் உங்களை மனதார பாராட்டுகிறாள். அப்பொழுது உங்களுடைய உள்ளமெல்லாம் களிகூரும். அந்த மகளுடைய வீட்டிலே, தங்க விரும்புவீர்கள். மனதார, அந்த மகளை ஆசீர்வதிப்பீர்கள்.

நாம் ஆராதிக்கிற தேவன் எப்படிப்பட்டவர்? அவர் துதியை விரும்புகிறவர். துதியிலே மனம் மகிழுகிறவர். மட்டுமல்ல, துதியின் மத்தியிலே வாசம்பண்ணு கிறவர் (சங். 22:3). உங்களைக் குறித்து கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு எதிர்பார்ப்பு உண்டு. "இந்த ஜனத்தை எனக்கென்று ஏற்படுத்தினேன். இவர்கள் என் துதியைச் சொல்லி வருவார்கள்" (ஏசா. 43:21). ஜெபத்தை ஆரம்பிக்கும்போது, கொஞ்சநேரம் கர்த்தர் எப்படிப்பட்டவர் என்பதை சொல்லி துதியுங்கள். அவர் சர்வவல்லமையுள்ளவர். அவர் மகிமையின் ராஜா. அவர் உன்னதமான தேவன். அடுத்ததாக, கர்த்தர் இதுவரை உங்களுக்கு செய்த நன்மைகளையும், வழிநடத்தின கிருபையின் பாதைகளையும் எண்ணி, அவரைத் துதியுங்கள். இனிமேல் அவர் செய்யப்போகிற நன்மையான காரியங்களை எதிர்பார்த்து, துதியோடு அவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்.

நினைவிற்கு:- "கர்த்தரே தேவனென்று அறியுங்கள்; நாம் அல்ல, அவரே நம்மை உண்டாக்கினார்; நாம் அவர் ஜனங்களும், அவர் மேய்ச்சலின் ஆடுகளுமா யிருக்கிறோம்" (சங். 100:3).

“And the Lord said, “Judah shall go up. Indeed I have delivered the land into his hand.” (Judges 1:2)

God willing, we will be meditating for the whole of this month about the deep meanings and experiences of prayer. How to begin a prayer? How to wage a spiritual war?

“Now after the death of Joshua, it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” And the Lord said, “Judah shall go up. Indeed I have delivered the land into his hand” (Judges 1:1, 2).

When you begin to pray, let ‘praise’ which is Judah, lead from the front. Let the praising and exalting of God stay first. God is the one who created you. He is the one to give you a good opportunity to live in this world. He is the one who came in search of you, even when you were not looking out for Him. He gave away his own dear son for your sake.
The word praise means ‘To Praise with joy’, ‘to commend with joy’, ‘to speak good things’ and ‘to value highly and to exalt.’ Praise and worship are interconnected with each other. Begin your prayer with the praise of God. King David says, “I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High” (Psalms 9:2). “Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing” (Psalms 100:2).

Just imagine that you have four daughters. When you visit the first daughter’s place she laments that you had not given her sufficient household articles during the time of her marriage. The second daughter always accuses you that you had divided and distributed your properties among the four daughters with partiality, letting her down. The next daughter complains about her sickness and weaknesses. But the one daughter left, always appreciates you with love and gratitude. The reaction of the last daughter alone will make your heart rejoice. You will cherish to stay with her and bless her.

What is the characteristic of God whom we worship? He likes praise. He rejoices in praise. Not only that. He enthrones in the praises (Psalms 22:3). There is an expectation over you to God. “These people I have formed for myself; They shall declare my praise” (Isaiah 43:21). Before beginning to pray, praise the goodness of God for some time. He is Almighty. He is the King of glory. He is God of Most High. Next, praise Him for all the good things He has done for you and for guiding you in the path of grace. Thank Him with praise in expectation of all the good things He will be doing for you in the future.

To meditate: “Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture” (Psalms 100:3).
