Ask For Blessing! - ஆசீர்வாதத்தைக் கேளுங்கள்!

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Mathew 7:7).

What is the way for blessings? It is nothing but asking and receiving all your needs from God through prayer. God has shown the prayer as the model way. Though Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of God, He met God in the early morning and received all His needs. He alone is the best model for us.

There are certain things for which we plead the Lord with tears; certain blessings are there which we receive through struggling. When you ask God you have to ask with faith, hope and expectation. Everyone who asks will receive. God Himself has promised, “If you ask anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:14). “Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).

That day, Jacob kept on asking for blessings from God. He stayed alone for the whole night and struggles with God on the banks of River Jabbok. He said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me”. That day God blessed him there. And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed” (Genesis 32:28). “…..the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force” (Mathew 11:12).

My father had been working as a headmaster in Sri Lanka and he used to come to India during Christmas holidays. During the summer holidays, we will be visiting Sri Lanka. Once, when he visited India he had bought many gifts to my elder sister and there was only a little for me. I felt very sad. I fought with him saying “Daddy, you are very partial. You love my sister more than me”.

My father embraced me with love and said, “Son, your sister is studying in a higher standard and she wrote me many letters asking for many of her needs but there was no such letter from you and you did not ask me for any of your requirements. But out of love I have brought certain things for you. Hereafter write me letters often and express your needs in them. I will definitely buy all you ask for.

Achsah asked her father “Give me a blessing; since you have given me land in the South, give me also springs of water.” And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs” (Judges 1:15).

To meditate: “Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain” (I Chronicles 4:10).

“கேளுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; தேடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது கண்டடைவீர்கள்; தட்டுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குத் திறக்கப்படும்” (மத். 7:7).

ஆசீர்வாதத்தின் வழி என்ன? உங்கள் எல்லா தேவைகளையும் ஜெபத்தின் மூலம், கர்த்தரிடத்திலே கேட்டுப் பெற்றுக் கொள்வதாகும். ஜெபத்தின் வழியை, கர்த்தர் நமக்கு முன் மாதிரியாக காண்பித்திருக்கிறார். இயேசுகிறிஸ்து, தேவனுடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனாயிருந்தும், பிதாவை அதிகாலையில் சந்தித்து, ஒவ்வொரு தேவைகளையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார். அவரே நமக்கு ஒரு நல்ல முன்மாதிரி.

அழுகையுடன் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் கேட்கும் காரியங்கள் உண்டு. போராடி பெற்றுக் கொள்ளுகிற ஆசீர்வாதங்களுமுண்டு. நீங்கள் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் கேட்கும் போது, விசுவாசத்தோடும், நம்பிக்கையோடும், எதிர்பார்ப்போடும் கேட்க வேண்டும். கேட்கிற எவனும் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளுகிறான். “என் நாமத்தினாலே நீங்கள் எதைக் கேட்டாலும், அதை நான் செய்வேன்” (யோவான் 14:14) என்று கர்த்தர் தாமே வாக்களித்திருக்கிறார். “இதுவரைக்கும் நீங்கள் என் நாமத்தினாலே ஒன்றும் கேட்கவில்லை; கேளுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்கள் சந்தோஷம் நிறைவாயிருக்கும்படி பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள்” (யோவா. 16:24).

அன்றைக்கு யாக்கோபு, கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விடாமல் ஆசீர்வாதங்களைக் கேட்டார். இரவெல்லாம் தனித்து, “யாப்போக்கு” என்ற ஆற்றங்கரையிலே தேவனோடு போராடினார். “நீர் என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்தாலொழிய, நான் உம்மைப் போக விடுவதில்லை” என்றார். அன்று கர்த்தர் அங்கே, அவரை ஆசீர்வதித்தார். “அப்பொழுது அவர்: உன் பேர் இனி யாக்கோபு என்னப்படாமல் இஸ்ரவேல் என்னப்படும். தேவனோடும், மனிதரோடும், போராடி மேற்கொண்டாயே என்றார்” (ஆதி. 32:28). “பரலோக ராஜ்யம் பலவந்தம் பண்ணப்படுகிறது; பலவந்தம் பண்ணுகிறவர்கள் அதைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்” (மத். 11:12).

என் தகப்பனார், இலங்கை தேசத்தில் தலைமை ஆசிரியராகப் பணியாற்றினார். கிறிஸ்மஸ் விடுமுறையின்போது, அவர் இந்தியா வருவார். மே மாத விடுமுறையில் நாங்கள் இலங்கைக்குச் செல்வோம். ஒரு முறை அவர் இந்தியா வந்தபோது, என்னுடைய மூத்த சகோதரிக்கு அதிகமான பொருட்களை வாங்கிக் கொண்டு வந்தார். எனக்கோ, கொஞ்சம் தான் கிடைத்தது. எனக்கு மிகுந்த வருத்தமாயிருந்தது. “அப்பா, நீங்கள் ரொம்ப பாரபட்சம் பார்க்கிறீர்கள். அக்காவைதான் அதிகமாய் நேசிக்கிறீர்கள், என்னை நேசிக்கவில்லை” என்று சொல்லி சண்டையிட்டேன்.

என் தகப்பனார் என்னை அன்போடு அணைத்து, “மகனே, அக்கா உயர்ந்த வகுப்பில் படிக்கிறாள். அவளுக்கு தேவையானவற்றையெல்லாம் கேட்டு அநேக கடிதங்கள் எழுதினாள். ஆனால் நீயோ, எனக்கு ஒரு கடிதமும் எழுதவில்லை. உன் தேவைகளை தெரிவிக்கவுமில்லை. ஆனாலும் நான் உன்னில் அன்பு வைத்து, சில பொருட்களை உனக்குக் கொண்டு வந்தேன். இனி அடிக்கடி கடிதம் எழுது. நீ கேட்கிறதையெல்லாம், நிச்சயமாகவே உனக்கு வாங்கி வருவேன்” என்றார்.

அக்சாள், தன் தகப்பனிடத்திலே, “எனக்கு ஒரு ஆசீர்வாதம் தரவேண்டும்; வறட்சியான நிலத்தை எனக்குத் தந்தீர்; நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சலான நிலங்களையும் எனக்குத் தரவேண்டும் என்றாள்; அப்பொழுது காலேப், மேற்புறத்திலும் கீழ்ப்புறத்திலும் அவளுக்கு நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சலான நிலங்களைக் கொடுத்தான்” (நியாயா. 1:15).

நினைவிற்கு:- “தேவரீர் என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, என் எல்லையைப் பெரிதாக்கி, உமது கரம் என்னோடிருந்து, தீங்கு என்னைத் துக்கப்படுத்தாதபடிக்கு அதற்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்தருளும்” (1 நாளா. 4:10).
