"அங்கே என் நேசத்தின் உச்சிதங்களை உமக்குத் தருவேன்" (உன். 7:12).

ஆத்தும நேசருக்கு நமது நேசத்தின் உச்சிதங்களை கொடுப்பது எத்தனை பாக்கியமானது! ஆத்தும நேசரில் அன்புகூருகிறீர்கள். ஆத்தும நேசரின் கிருபைகளை நீங்கள் அனுபவிக்கிறீர்கள். அதோடு நின்றுவிடக்கூடாது. உங்களுடைய நேசத்தின் உச்சிதங்களையும் அவருக்குக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.

ஆத்தும நேசர் தன்னுடைய நேசத்தின் உச்சிதத்தை உங்களுக்குத் தருவதற்காகவே அவர் இந்த பூமிக்கு இறங்கி வந்தார். உங்கள்மேல் வைத்த நேசத்தினால்தான், அவர் பாரமான சிலுவையை தூக்கிக்கொண்டு எருசலேம் வீதியிலே நடந்தார். முள்முடி சூட்டப்பட்டார். நிந்தைகளையும், அவமானங்களையும், பரியாசங்களையும் மகிழ்ச்சியோடு சகித்தார். தமது கடைசி சொட்டு இரத்தத்தையும் ஊற்றிக்கொடுத்தார். அந்த கல்வாரி சிலுவையை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கும்போதெல்லாம் இருதயம் பொங்குகிறது. ஆனந்த கண்ணீருடன், "என் நேசரே, உமது நேசத்தின் உச்சிதங்களை எனக்குக் கொடுத்தீரே!" என்று துதிக்கத் தோன்றுகிறது.

அந்த கர்த்தருக்கு நீங்களும் உங்களுடைய நேசத்தின் உச்சிதத்தை கொடுக்க வேண்டுமல்லவா? தாவீது சொல்லுகிறார்: "கர்த்தர் எனக்குச் செய்த எல்லா உபகாரங்களுக்காகவும், அவருக்கு என்னத்தைச் செலுத்துவேன். இரட்சிப்பின் பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்" (சங். 116:12,13). கர்த்தரைத் தொழுது கொள்ளுவதே நீங்கள் அவருக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டிய நேசத்தின் உச்சிதமாகும்.

ஆபிரகாம் தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு தன் நேசத்தின் உச்சிதமாக தன் மகனையே பலியிட அன்று ஒப்புக் கொடுத்தார். இன்று கர்த்தருக்கு ஏற்கும் பலிகள் நொறுங்குண்ட ஆவிதான். நருங்குண்டதும் நொறுங்குண்டதுமான இருதயத்தை அவர் புறக்கணிப்பவரல்ல. கர்த்தர் விரும்பும் பலி என்ன தெரியுமா? உதடுகளின் கனியாகிய ஸ்தோத்திர பலியாகும். நீங்கள் கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்கத் துதிக்க அவருடைய இருதயம் மகிழுகிறது. கர்த்தர் துதியின் மத்தியிலே கடந்து வந்து உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார். ‘இந்த ஜனத்தை நான் எனக்கென்று ஏற்படுத்தினேன். இவர்கள் என் துதியை சோல்லி வருவார்கள்’ என்று சொல்லி உங்கள்மேல் எதிர்பார்ப்புள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்.

தாவீது தன் நேசத்தின் உச்சிதங்களை கர்த்தருக்கு கொடுக்க விரும்பினார். தன் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் சேகரித்து வைத்த வெள்ளியையும், பொன்னையும் திரளான கேதுரு மரங்களையும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று மனப்பூர்வமாய் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுத்தார். என்னுடைய செல்வம் எனக்கு வேண்டியதாயிராமல் நான் பூமியிலே முழு பிரியம் வைத்திருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய ஊழியத்திற்காகவே கொடுப்பேன் என்று சொல்லி சகலத்தையும் அர்ப்பணித்தார். மேலும், அவர் நேசத்தின் உச்சிதமாக கர்த்தரையே துதிக்க தீர்மானித்தார்.

சங்கீதப் புத்தகத்திலுள்ள கடைசி பதினைந்து புத்தகங்களும் கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்கிற துதியாகவே அமைந்துள்ளன. நம்முடைய தேவன் துதிக்குப் பாத்திரரானவர். சகல உண்மைக்கும், கனத்திற்கும் பாத்திரரானவர். வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது, "கர்த்தர் பெரியவர், அவர் நமது தேவனுடைய நகரத்திலும், தமது பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்திலும் மிகவும் துதிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர்" (சங். 8:1; 96:4).

நினைவிற்கு: "நீதிமான்களே, கர்த்தருக்குள் களிகூருங்கள்; துதிசெய்வது செம்மையானவர்களுக்குத் தகும்" (சங். 33:1).

“There I will give you my love” (Song of Solomon 7:12).

How blessed it is to give your love to the lover of the soul! You show love on one who loves. You enjoy the grace of the lover. It should not end there but you should also give your love to him.

It is for giving His love to you, the lover descended to the earth. It is because of the love He has over you, He carried the heavy cross on His shoulders and walked on the streets of Jerusalem; allowed to be crowned with the crown of thorns; He happily tolerated all the reproach, shame and the mockery. He poured even the last drop of His blood for our sake. Whenever we look at the Cross of Calvary our hearts are getting stirred. It makes us praise Him with tears of joy saying, “Dear lover, you have given the best of your love to me.”

Is it not necessary for you to show your love on Him? David says, “What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord” (Psalm 116:12, 13). The best way of giving your love to Him is by worshipping Him.

Abraham came forward to sacrifice his son as an act of giving his love to God. Today, the sacrifice for God is the broken spirit. He is not one to despise a broken and a contrite heart. Do you know which sacrifice God likes? It is the fruit of the lips which is the sacrifice of thanksgiving. As you keep on praising, His heart rejoices. He crosses over the praises you give and blesses you. He says, “These people I have formed for myself; they shall declare my praise” and remains with expectations from you.

David wanted to give the best of his love for God. He wholeheartedly gave all the silver, gold and the cedar trees which he has saved for himself to God. He gave everything to God saying ‘I will give all I have for the ministry of God.’ Further, as the best of love, he decided to praise God.

The last fifteen chapters in the book of Psalms remain as praises to God. Our God is worthy to be praised. He is worthy of all truth and honour. The Scripture says, “O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth, who have set your glory above the heavens! For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods” (Psalm 8:1, 96:4).

To meditate: “Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful” (Psalm 33:1).
