"என்னாலே உன் நாட்கள் பெருகும்; உன் ஆயுசின் வருஷங்கள் விருத்தியாகும்" (நீதி. 9:11).

ஒவ்வொருநாளுமே கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிற கிருபையாகும். அதிகாலையிலிருந்து இரவு வரையிலும் இருக்கக்கூடிய ஒவ்வொரு வினாடி நேரமும் கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிற விலையேறப்பெற்ற பரிசாகும். ஆகவே காலையில் எழும்பும்போதே அந்த நாளுக்காக ஆண்டவரை நீங்கள் ஸ்தோத்தரிக்க கடமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

வேதத்தில் பலவகையான நாட்களைக் குறித்து சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. சிருஷ்டிப்பின் நாள் (ஆதி. 5:1), பிறந்த நாள் (யோபு 3:1), சபைகூடும் பரிசுத்த நாள் (லேவி. 23:4), ஆபத்து நாள் (ஆதி. 35:3), கலியாண நாள் (உன். 3:11), இயேசுவின் வருகையின் நாள் (1 தெச. 5:2), நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாள் (மத். 11:22) என்று பலவகையான நாட்கள் இருந்தாலும், ஒவ்வொரு நாளிலும் கர்த்தர் உங்களோடிருக்கிறார்.

நமக்கு ஒருநாள் என்று சொல்வது நடு இரவிலிருந்து இருபத்திநான்கு மணிநேரத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது. ஆனால் எபிரெயருக்கு ஒரு நாள் என்பது ஒரு சாயங்காலம் தொடங்கி அடுத்த சாயங்காலம் வரை உள்ள பொழுதைக் குறிக்கிறதாயிருக்கிறது. காலங்கள் எப்படி கணக்கிடப்பட்டாலும், கர்த்தர் உலகத்தின் முடிவுபரியந்தம் சகல நாட்களிலும், உங்களோடுகூட இருக்கிறார். ஆகவே ஒவ்வொருநாளும் கர்த்தருடைய பிரசன்னத்தை உணருவீர்களாக.

தாவீது ஒவ்வொருநாளுக்கும் சூட்டுகிற பெயர் "நன்மையும் கிருபையும்" என்பதாகும். "என் ஜீவனுள்ள நாளெல்லாம் நன்மையும் கிருபையும் என்னைத் தொடரும்" என்று அவர் பரவசத்தோடு கூறுகிறதோடல்லாமல், நன்மையையும் கிருபையையும் அவர் ஆவலோடு எதிர்பார்க்கிறார். தேவபிள்ளைகளே, கர்த்தர் உங்களோடு இருக்கிறபடியினால் ஒவ்வொருநாளும் மேன்மையான காரியங்களை கர்த்தரிடத்திலிருந்து எதிர்பாருங்கள்.

சிலர் நாட்கள் கடந்து செல்லச் செல்ல தங்களுக்கு வயதாகிக்கொண்டே போகிறதே. பெலவீனப்பட்டு போவோமோ, மற்றவர்களுக்கு பாரமாய் இருப்போமோ என்றெல்லாம் எண்ணி கலங்குகிறார்கள். நீங்கள் அவ்விதமாய் ஒருபோதும் கலங்க வேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை. "உன் நாட்களுக்குத்தக்கதாய் உன் பெலனும் இருக்கும்" (உபா. 33:25) என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நாள் எப்படி உண்டாகிறது, வருஷம் எப்படி உண்டாகிறது, என்பதை சிந்தித்திருக்கிறீர்களா? பூமி தன்னைத் தானே ஒருமுறை சுற்றிக்கொள்ளுவதற்கு ஒருநாள் ஆகிறது. ஆனால் பூமி தன்னைத்தான் சுற்றிக்கொள்ளுவதோடு நின்று விடுவதில்லை. அது கூடவே சூரியனையும் சுற்றி வருகிறது. பூமி ஒருமுறை சூரியனை சுற்றிவருவதற்கு சரியாக ஒரு ஆண்டு காலமாகிறது. தேவபிள்ளைகளே, பூமியின் சுழற்சியைப்போல உங்களுடைய வாழ்க்கை சுற்றிச் சுழன்றாலும் நீதியின் சூரியனாகிய கர்த்தரைப் பார்க்கிற வண்ணமா அவரோடு சஞ்சரித்து, அவரோடு உலாவி, அவரை சுற்றி வருவீர்களானால், நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்காய் பிரகாசிக்கிறவர்களாய் இருப்பீர்கள்.

நினைவிற்கு:- "இது கர்த்தர் உண்டுபண்ணின நாள்; இதிலே களிகூர்ந்து மகிழக்கடவோம்" (சங். 118:24).

“For by me your days will be multiplied and years of life will be added to you” (Proverbs 9:11).

Every day is a day which God gives you graciously. Every second running from the early morning to night is a precious gift of God for you. So, you are bound to thank God for the day, as soon as you wake up.

Though there are several days like “In the day that God created....” (Genesis 5:1), “the day of his birth” (Job 3:1), “On the day of the...Lord’s Passover” (Leviticus 23:5), “day of my distress” (Genesis 35:3), “the day of his wedding” (Song of Solomon 3:11), “the day of the Lord so comes ...” (I Thessalonians 5:2) and “the day of judgment” (Mathew 11:22), God is with you on all days.

Generally, we call the twenty-four hours following midnight as a day. But, the period between two evenings is called a day for the Hebrews. The way of calculating the periods may differ but what is stable is that God is with you on all days even to the end of the age. So, may you feel the presence of God every day!

The name David gives for each day is ‘goodness and mercy.’ He not only says with ecstasy “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me” and but also eagerly expects goodness and mercy to happen.” Dear children of God, since God is with you, expect great things from Him every day.

As they grow older and older, some people begin to worry whether they may become weak and whether they may become a burden for others. You never need to worry that way. God says, “... as your days, so shall your strength be” (Deuteronomy 33:25).

Have you ever given a thought over how a day happens and how a year happens? It takes a day for the earth to rotate fully once. But the earth does not stop with rotating itself but it also goes around the sun. It takes a year for the earth to revolve around the sun for once. Dear children of God, though your life is also spinning and rotating similar to that of the earth, if you dwell and go around God who is the Sun of righteousness, you will become the ones shining for God.

To meditate: “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
