"ஆவியின் கனியோ ... நற்குணம் ..." (கலா. 5:22).

ஒன்பது விதமான ஆவியின் கனிகளில் ஒன்று நற்குணமாகும். நன்மையானவைகளை சிந்தித்தல், பேசுதல், செய்தல் என்பதே நற்குணம் என்பதன் அர்த்தம். உங்களுடைய சுபாவம் நற்குணமாகிவிட்டால் நீங்கள் விசுவாசிகளுக்குள் மிகுந்த ஆசீர்வாதமுள்ளவர்களாயிருப்பீர்கள்.

கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளில் பெரிய ஊழியர்கள் அநேகர் பாவத்திற்குள்ளாகி தங்களுடைய ஊழியத்தை அழித்துக்கொண்டதுடன், கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தையும் அவமாக்கிப் போட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் புகழை விரும்பினார்களே தவிர, தெய்வீக நற்குணம் தங்களில் உருவாக தங்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவில்லை.

ஒருவன் தன் சுபாவத்தை ஆவிக்குரிய கட்டுப்பாட்டுக்குள் கொண்டுவராமல் போனால் அவனுடைய கிறிஸ்தவ ஜீவியம் தாழ்ந்து போகிறது. நீங்கள் தனிமையாய் இருக்கும்போது எப்படி நடந்து கொள்ளுகிறீர்கள், மற்றவர்கள் பார்க்கும்போது எவ்விதமாய் ஜீவிக்கிறீர்கள், என்பதன் மூலம்தான் உங்களுடைய உண்மையான கனிகள் வெளிப்படும்.

எரிமலை சாதாரணமாக இருக்கும்போது, வெளிப்பார்வைக்கு மரங்களும், செடிகளும் பூக்களும் மிகவும் அழகாக இருக்கும். ஆனால் திடீரென்று அந்த எரிமலை குமுறி வெடிக்கும்போது உள்ளேயிருந்து அக்கினியும், கந்தகமும், கொடிய வெப்பமும் கொப்பளிக்கும். அதுபோலத்தான் அநேகர் வெளித்தோற்றத்தில் பொய்யான வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்து நல்லவர்களைப்போல தங்களை காண்பித்துக் கொள்ளுகிறார்கள். அவர்களுடைய உண்மையான சுபாவம் வெளிப்படும்போது எரிமலையைப் பார்க்கிலும் கொடூரமுள்ளவர்களாகிவிடுகிறார்கள்.

கிறிஸ்துவை நோக்கிப் பாருங்கள். அவர் வெளிப்பிரகாரமாய் அன்பும், தாழ்மையும், கிருபையுமுள்ளவராயிருந்தார். அதே நேரத்தில் அவருடைய உள்ளான வாழ்க்கை தெய்வீக பரிபூரணத்தால் நிரம்பியிருந்தது. மறுரூபமலைக்கு சென்ற அவர் எரிமலையைப்போல குமுறவில்லை. அவருடைய தெய்வீக சுபாவமே வெளியே வந்தது. அவருடைய முகம் சூரியனைப்போல பிரகாசித்தது. அவருடைய வஸ்திரமெல்லாம் உறைந்த மழையைப்போல வெண்மையாயிருந்தது.

உங்களுக்குள் கிறிஸ்து வாசமாயிருப்பாரென்றால், உங்கள் வாழ்க்கையின் ஒவ்வொரு பகுதியிலும் தெய்வீகத்தின் மேன்மையே பிரகாசமாயிருக்கும். சங்கைச் சுட்டாலும் வெண்மை தரும் என்பது பழமொழி. உங்கள் வாழ்க்கையிலே அவ்விதமான கனிகளாகிய நற்குணம் இருக்குமென்றால், நீங்கள் எந்த பாடுகளின் பாதையிலே சென்றாலும், அந்த நற்குணம் அதிகமாக வெளிப்படுமே தவிர வேறொன்றும் உங்களிடம் வெளிப்படுவதேயில்லை.

நற்குணம் என்பது எப்போதும் மேன்மையானவைகளையே பேசுகிறதாகும். சிலர் பூமிக்குரியவைகளையே நாடுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் தேவபிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள், பூமிக்குரியவைகளையல்ல, தேவனுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிற இடத்திலுள்ள மேலானவைகளையே நாடுங்கள். இந்த நற்குணமானது நித்தியமான ஆசீர்வாதங்களை உங்களுக்குப் பெற்றுத் தரும்.

நினைவிற்கு:- "நீங்கள் இந்தப் பிரபஞ்சத்திற்கு ஒத்த வேஷந்தரியாமல் தேவனுடைய நன்மையும் பரியமும் பரிபூரணமுமான சித்தம் இன்னதென்று பகுத்தறியத்தக்கதாக உங்கள் மனம் புதிதாகிறதினாலே மறுரூபமாகுங்கள்" (ரோமர் 12:2).

“But the fruit of the Spirit is ...goodness” (Galatians 5:22).

Goodness is one of the nine fruits of the Spirit. Goodness means speaking and doing good things. If your character becomes goodness, you will be the most blessed among the believers.

In the past few years, many big servants of God have destroyed their ministries and also have put the Name of God to shame by indulging in sins. Instead of submitting themselves for the divine goodness to form within them, they went behind acquiring fame.

When one fails to bring his character under the Spiritual control, his Christian life becomes mediocre. The true fruits in you will be revealed only based on how you behave while being alone and how you live while you are within the vision of others.

When a volcano is not discharging fire it will be looking to be a beautiful hill with green trees, plants and flowers. But when it bursts, fire, sulphur and enormous heat are discharged from it vigorously and it will wear a terrible look. Just like that, many people pretend to lead a good life outwardly but their true self will be totally different. When their real character is exposed, they will be ferocious than the volcano.

Look up to Christ. Outwardly, He appears to possess love, humility and grace. At the same time, His inner life is also filled with divine perfection. When He climbed the Mount of Transfiguration, He did not burst like a volcano. His divine character alone was revealed. His face shined like a sun. His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow.

If Christ dwells within you, the greatness of divinity will shine in every part of your life. An old Tamil saying insists that even while being burnt, conch will give out only whiteness. If the fruit of goodness is present in your life, in whatever path of suffering you may move across, goodness alone will be revealed and nothing else.

Speaking great things always alone is what is called as goodness. Some people go behind the worldly things alone. But, dear children of God, you should not go behind the worldly things but should be after the great things on the right side of God. This goodness will help you to receive eternal blessings.

To meditate: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2).
