" பொய் பேசுகிறவர்களின் வாய் அடைக்கப்படும்" (சங். 63:11).

கர்த்தருடைய வேதம் பொய் பேசும் பழக்கத்தை வன்மையாய்க் கண்டிக்கிறது. ஆதியாகமத்திலிருந்து வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் வரையிலும் பொய் பேசியதால் வேதனையடைந்த அநேகருடைய வாழ்க்கை வரலாறுகள் எச்சரிப்பாய்க் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. சிலர் பயத்தினால் பொய் பேசுகிறார்கள். சிலர் வேறு வழியின்றி பொய் பேசுகிறார்கள். இன்னும் சிலருக்கோ வாயைத் திறந்தாலே போதும், மடை திறந்த வெள்ளம்போல பொய் பாய்ந்துகொண்டேயிருக்கும்.

இந்த பொய் எங்கே ஆரம்பித்தது தெரியுமா? ஏதேன் தோட்டத்தில்தான் ஆரம்பித்தது. பொய்யனும் பொய்க்கு பிதாவுமாகிய சாத்தான் ஏவாளிடத்தில் வரிசையாய் பொய்களை ஊதினான். "விலக்கப்பட்ட கனிகளை புசித்தால் நீங்கள் சாகவே சாவதில்லை. உங்கள் கண்கள் திறக்கப்படும், நன்மை தீமை அறிந்து தேவர்களைப்போல இருப்பீர்கள்" என்றான். அந்தோ, அந்த பொய்யினால் மனுஷனுக்கும், தேவனுக்குமிடையே பெரிய பிளவு உண்டாயிற்று. அந்த பொய்யை மனுக்குலம் நம்பினபடியினாலே ஏதேனைவிட்டு துக்கத்தோடு வெளியேற வேண்டியதாயிற்று. பாவங்களும், சாபங்களும், நோய்களும், வியாதிகளும் மனுக்குலத்தை வாட்டி வதக்கின.

வேதத்திலே, அனனியாவும் சப்பீராளும் துணிகரமாய் ஒரு பொய்யைச் சொன்னார்கள். ஒரு பங்கை வஞ்சித்துக் கொண்டு இவ்வளவுக்குத்தான் விற்றோம் என்று கர்த்தருடைய ஊழியரிடத்தில் கூசாமல் பொய் சொன்னார்கள். அந்த பொய்க்கு பரிசாக அவர்கள் ஜீவனையே விடவேண்டியதாயிற்று. வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது, "பொய்யர் அனைவரும் இரண்டாம் மரணமாகிய அக்கினியும் கந்தகமும் எரிகிற கடலிலே பங்கடைவார்கள்" (வெளி. 21:8).

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, பொய் பேசாதபடி உங்கள் உதடுகளைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். கர்த்தரை பிரியப்படுத்தும்படி சத்தியமானவைகளையே பேசுங்கள். சிறுபிள்ளைகள் பொய் பேசும்போது அவர்களை மிகுந்த கண்டிப்புடனும் ஜெபத்துடனும் திருத்துங்கள். கர்த்தர் சத்தியமுள்ளவர் (1 யோவான் 5:20). உங்களிலே அவர் சத்தியத்தையே விரும்புகிறார் (சங். 51:6). சத்திய ஆவியானவர் உங்களுக்குள் வாசம் பண்ணுகிறார். சத்திய வேதத்தை உங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்திருக்கிறார். நீங்கள் சத்தியத்தையே பேச வேண்டுமே தவிர, பொய்க்கு இடம் கொடுக்கவேகூடாது. ஏனென்றால் நீங்கள் பேசுகிற ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தைக்கும் கர்த்தருக்கு கணக்கு கொடுக்க வேண்டுமென்பதை மறந்து போகாதேயுங்கள் (மத். 12:36).

பொய்யைப் பார்க்கிலும் கொடூரமான ஒன்று உண்டு. அது பொய்ச்சாட்சி சொல்லுவதாகும். மனப்பூர்வமாய் தங்களை விற்றுப்போடுகிறவர்களும், ஆத்துமாக்களை கெடுக்கிறவர்களும்தான் துணிகரமாய் பொய்ச்சாட்சி சொல்லுவார்கள். பத்துக் கட்டளைகளில் ஒன்றாக "பிறனுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பொய்ச்சாட்சி சொல்லாதிருப்பாயாக" என்று கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார்.

வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது, "சத்தியவாசகன் நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்துவான்; பொய்ச் சாட்சிக்காரனோ வஞ்சகத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவான்" (நீதி. 12:17). "மெய்ச்சாட்சிக்காரன் பொய்சொல்லான்; பொய்ச்சாட்சிக்காரனோ பொய்களை ஊதுகிறான்" (நீதி. 14:5). தேவபிள்ளைகளே, பொய் நாவை உங்களைவிட்டு அகற்றிப் போடுங்கள். கர்த்தரைப் பிரியப்படுத்தும்படி சத்தியமானவைகளையே பேசுங்கள்.

நினைவிற்கு:- "பக்தியுள்ளவனைக் கர்த்தர் தமக்காகத் தெரிந்து கொண்டாரென்று அறியுங்கள்; நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகையில் அவர் கேட்பார்" (சங். 4:3).

“... the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped” (Psalm 63:11).

The Scripture of God strongly condemns the habit of telling lie. Life histories of many people who suffered greatly for speaking lies have been given as caution from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation. Some people speak lies out of fear. Some others speak lies as they find no other way. There are some more people and once they open their mouths, lies will come out of them as an uncontrolled flood.

Do you know what the beginning of this lie is? It began in the Eden Garden. Satan who is a liar and the father of lies uttered a series of lies to Eve. He said “You will not surely die. For God knows that on the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Alas, a great rift was created between God and man because of this lie. Mankind believed this lie and as a result, it had to exit from the Garden of Eden sadly. The sins, curses, sickness and diseases greatly troubled mankind.

In the Scripture, Ananias and Sapphira presumptuously spoke a lie. They retained a part of the proceeds for themselves secretly and lied that the balance portion was the total proceeds. As a reward to this act of speaking lies, they had to give their lives. The Scripture says, “...all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8).

Dear children of God, protect your lips from speaking lies. Always speak the truth which alone will please God. When you find children speaking lies, correct them with strong condemnation and prayer. “...we may know Him who is true” (I John 5:20). “Behold, you desire truth” (Psalm 51:6). The Spirit of truth dwells in you. He has promised you the Word of truth. You have to speak the truth and never give space for the lie. “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give an account of it in the Day of Judgment” (Mathew 12:36).

There is one more thing which is worse than the lie. That is the false witnessing. Only those who sell their conscience and those who spoil their souls will presumptuously render false witness. God has said “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour” as one of His Ten Commandments.

The Scripture says, “He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit” (Proverbs 12:17). “A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness will utter lies” (Proverbs 14:5). Dear children of God, remove the tongue of lie from you. Always speak the truth so that you please God.

To meditate: “But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; the Lord will hear when I call to Him” (Psalm 4:3).
